Head and Neck Cancer: Multidisciplinary Management Guidelines

There is no doubt that this concise and comprehensive document is a triumph of collaboration by experts from all disciplines working in Head and Neck Oncology. Its production is part of an ongoing process. It builds on the earlier consensus documents and will be the handbook for Multidisciplinary
Teams until such time as it too needs revision. The editors and contributors are to be congratulated for producing such a valuable document. It will prove to
be essential reading and a key reference document for all those working in this field and will provide a benchmark for high quality care.

Guidelines for Authors of ENT UK Questionnaires

ENT UK is pleased to support the acquisition of knowledge through survey of its membership. From time to time the Association itself requires to circulate members in respect of professional and related issues. From a research point of view however, we are aware that, in the past, the circulation of rather indifferent surveys have bombarded members with unwelcome and unwanted mail and email. We do not wish to block access to members by bona fide researchers - but at the same time we feel an obligation to our subscribers to shield them from low standard surveys. Anyone in doubt as to the nature and design of the survey is welcome to contact the ENT UK office where if we are not directly able to help you we should be happy to direct you towards a source of appropriate academic advice. Meanwhile we are pleased to publish the following guidelines kindly produced by Mr Jim Fairley on behalf of the Association. All members are requested to review these carefully, ideally at the design stage of their survey - and at the very least, prior to circulation.

We hope that this process will actually increase response rates as ENTUK members will receive fewer and more worthwhile questionnaires.
