Norman Gamble Fund and Research Prize

The research prize shall be awarded for the best original work in otology completed during the four years previous to the month of October in the year of the award. The competition for this prize shall be open to any British subjects, whether lay or medical, whether or not such persons be holders of or candidates for grants in aid of research. Moreover, the prize may be awarded to selected workers chosen by the Committee of Award.

Grants in aid of research work in otology may be made to any British subject, lay or medical, who may be recommended by the Committee of Award to receive such grants, whether or not such persons be a holder of or a candidate for the Norman Gamble Prize. Moreover, such grants may be given:

  1. To persons who apply for a grant in order that they may carry out a specific piece of work
  2. To selected workers chosen by the Committee of Award to carry out certain specified work of its selection
  3. To a research institute selected by the Committee of Award.
