Arudselvan Arudselvan – Sri Lanka
It was a great opportunity to get knowledge and experience at an international level. It is a great idea given the opportunity to meet and make friends with ENT surgeons from multiple countries including Ukraine, Vietnam, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria. We have created a social media group of BACO fellows and are sharing the links of local events of our countries.

I really enjoined the entire BACO program! The BACO networking was superb, I made new friends and I interacted with BACO fellows across the globe. I learned a lot from the lecture sessions comprising of recent advances, debates, controversies, panel of discussions and updates on current management of ENT diseases.

BACO 2023 was an excellent networking event especially for young trainees who are about to complete their residency and wanted to seek post fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology. This was wonderful experience in terms of acquiring knowledge and networking. It has boosted my confidence and definitely good to help me shape my career in better dimensions.

I found the event schedule fully packed with illustrious lectures and learning sessions throughout the timetable. Whichever session I went to, I was able to learn and update my knowledge each time. For me, the highlight of the BACO was the Networking Event, which provided a wonderful opportunity to meet the BACO fellows and colleagues from various parts of the world. We shared our experiences on ENT and understood the similarities and differences in each country.

This was really a pleasure for me to reach Europe and increase my knowledge about the care of ENT-Head and Neck conditions from different perspectives around the world. I have met friends and contacts from all-over the world and I hope these will increase the networking so that the care of patients with head and neck conditions can become better in Africa.
Nhu Ho – Vietnam
The academic program was excellent in providing me with an insight into all aspects of my profession, from otology, rhinology, and skull base surgery to head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery. Thanks to the variety of sessions in each sub-specialty, I had eye-opening lectures and updates that took me to another level of ENT knowledge. I am inspired by innovative techniques that have not been used at my department, and I am eagerly looking forward to applying my ideas to my medical practice to give the best care to my patients in my home country.

I really enjoyed the education sessions, the networking and the social event. My particular focus was to learn and interact with speakers and experts in parathyroid, sleep and sinus surgery. The networking event on Thursday was a great way to interact with other fellows. Overall the exposure and learning gleaned from the program was top notch and I would recommend to my colleagues back home to book for the next BACO in 2026.

I want to thank you for the opportunity to visit BACO 2023 and get an unbelievable experience. My field of interest is rhinology, and I tried to learn more from this section. I noticed and learned a lot of useful things during the conference. This journey was unforgettable! Thank you so much!!!!
Michael Oruko Sitima - Kenya
The travel fellowship was an eye opener in as far as ENT practice in the UK and around the world has evolved. I got to interact with leaders in various fields including, Otology, Head and neck surgery and Hearing rehabilitation which are my main areas of interest. The congress also provided an opportunity to network, buy various books and instruments from the exhibition and see the various advances in the field.
Vasanthika Thuduvage – Sri Lanka
I would like to thank ENT UK for selecting me as a BACO fellow. I attended several keynote lectures related to chronic sinusitis and its management and that will help me to improve my practice on this area. I will be able to share my knowledge with my other colleges as I will be involved with organisation of academic sessions of college of ENT surgeons - Sri Lanka. One of my research papers was selected to present as a commended poster at the BACO conference and that was an added benefit for me and my country to share our experience.
