Individual ERS memberships can be purchased, but by purchasing your ERS membership through ENT UK you can take advantage of our discounted institution membership rates; through ENT UK, an ERS membership costs £36 per year for those aged 36 and over and is free for those aged 35 and under.
The ERS membership year runs from January to December, in contrast with ENT UK’s membership year which runs from October to September. As a result, depending on what time of the year you pay ENT UK for your ERS membership, your payment will either be taken for the next calendar year or for the current calendar year:
- Payments made between 1st October and 31st December will be for the following calendar year’s ERS membership.
- Payments made between 1st January and 30th September will be for the current calendar year’s ERS membership.
Even if you are paying your ENT UK membership with a Direct Debit, you will need to pay for your ERS membership separately with a debit/credit card.
If you have any questions regarding an ERS membership through ENT UK, please contact us.

New ENT UK applicants
If you select ERS as an ENT UK Group to join, then you will not be asked to pay for your ERS membership until after your ENT UK membership has been approved.
If your payment is made after 1st October, the payment will be for the following calendar year (as above), so your ERS membership will not start until 1st January.
Existing ENT UK members
After adding yourself to the ERS group, you will be immediately asked to make payment. Depending on the time of year (as above), your membership will begin immediately or on the following 1st January.
Renewing an ERS membership
At the same time as your ENT UK membership invoices are raised, a separate ERS membership invoice will be raised that must be paid manually.
Upon payment, your membership with ERS will be renewed by ENT UK.
