Programme

What can I expect from the BACO 2026 programme?

The BACO executive team will be working alongside the ENT UK subspecialty societies to deliver a unique academic programme. We are focusing on a number of key themes in our preparation:

  • Offering value for money; the delegate fee has been lowered and is fantastic value, particularly for ENT UK members.
  • Ensuring we are promoting equality and diversity.
  • Ensuring we are promoting academic excellence.
  • Reducing the number of available themes for delegates to attend, to increase audience size and encourage cross specialty attendance and joint sessions.
  • Further recognition for speakers.
  • Ensuring we are promoting sustainability.

The programme will include subspecialty Evidence Based Reviews, in collaboration with the editorial team for Clinical Otolaryngology.

A “back to basics -meets cutting edge” session will run across all specialties, for delegates seeking a broad educational experience from BACO.

The oral scientific presentations will run across all themes at the same time, on each day, ensuring large audiences. We hope this approach will attract high quality international submissions.

Daily plenary speeches and internationally renowned key note speakers across the specialties.

CPD Points

CPD Points will be awarded to all delegates attending the conference. The number of CPD Points will be confirmed in due course.

About the BACO 2023 programme

Leaders in our field from around the world highlighted major developments in our speciality while celebrating the breadth of clinical and research experience from within the UK.

The many subspecialty organisations and cross-topic groups under the umbrella of ENT UK were at the heart of this programme. Each worked extremely hard to create an exciting scientific agenda that included the latest research, best-practice update sessions and instructional sessions covering a range of surgical techniques and challenging clinical situations.

There were lively discussions in our panels and, hopefully, heated debates on controversial topics, as well as sessions dedicated to innovation, career development, education and the challenges that we all face in our working lives.

We aimed to have something for everyone, with much to interest delegates over the three days while allowing ample time to visit the fantastic exhibition hall and catch up with friends and colleagues after an extraordinary few years.

There were also dedicated days for GPs, our SFO members and audiologists.
