Sessions

Keynote lectures

Overseas invited speakers with an international prestigious reputation in their given field.

Round tables

These consist of case presentations from a moderator and panel discussions rather than a series of didactic presentations.

Topic symposia

These consist of 3 or 4 speakers covering different aspects of the chosen topic.

Key topics

The aim of this session is to present 4 or 5 topics within the subspecialty as an update for those working outside the subspecialty or as general ENT, to present an overview of current management. It would also be of interest to SFO, trainees and GPsSI, as well as being of use to those preparing for the FRCS exam.

Advanced sessions

The aim of this session is to highlight key areas of research, innovations, novel treatments and to identify where future developments might occur, and would be aimed more at those working within the subspecialty area.

Debates

Controversial topics to be presented as a debate, with an opportunity for rebuttal and an audience vote.

Instructional sessions

Some of these sessions would have been open to submission and selection; the majority will organised by specialist societies.
