Programme
The programme will include 10 free paper presentations, highlighting the latest cutting-edge research in all areas of Otolaryngology and the Allied Sciences, a Keynote Lecture from Andrew Williamson, the INTEGRATE Chair, and the BOARS AGM. In the afternoon BOARS will be facilitating a research priority-setting exercise to direct the research effort nationally in the UK. This is to follow up on the GENERATE research priority setting exercise which took place a number of years ago.
Afternoon Workshop: Brainstorming for research priorities in ENT
In 2015, ENT UK launched the GENERATE agenda, bringing together a set of research priorities for ENT, Hearing and Balance. Since that time, there have been a number of clinical trials and other observational studies that have addressed some of these priorities, such as NATTINA, NAIROS and MACRO. It is therefore beholden upon BOARS as the research arm of ENT UK, to revisit these priorities and establish a revised working list for the next decade of research in ENT and allied sciences. Therefore, this is also an opportunity for us to see what has been realised in terms of capacity building since 2015 across ENT & Audiology, both through the NIHR CRN and beyond. We would like to welcome all of you interested in discussing ENT research prioritisation to the afternoon session of the Spring BOARS meeting on 3rd May 2024, being held online (hosted at UEA).
