The ENT UK North West ENT Trauma Course will take place face-to-face on Friday 14 November 2025. A further half day of private study will be required for pre-requisite learning, which can be taken at the candidate's convenience (this prerequisite learning is mandatory to complete the course).
About
We are delighted to invite you to the 2nd North West ENT Trauma Course. The faculty consists of consultant colleagues from ENT and allied specialities involved with managing paediatric and adult patients with head and neck trauma. The SAC has approved this course as an equivalent to ATLS for higher ENT trainees to meet their CCT requirements.
The course will be delivered in a hybrid format, with online interactive pre-learning. Access to the PGVLE platform will be provided closer to the course date. The face-to-face session will run through key technical skills in head and neck trauma management with a focus on hands-on practical skills and simulation.
As per the SAC directive, the course is currently only available to trainees at ST6 and above and will prioritise places for those in ST7 and ST8 who need to complete a trauma course to meet CCT requirements. As such, the course will be made available to different learner groups in a staggered manner, but within these places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration
Registration is now open. The £500 fee is inclusive of VAT and includes refreshments, tea/coffee and hot lunch for the duration of the course. We will endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements as far as possible.
When registering for this course, please ensure that if you are an ENT UK member, you have entered your GMC number onto your account. For all non-members, please add your GMC number when creating an account to register. This will enable the course organiser to provide you access to pre-learning material.
