About the Webinar - My path to surgical innovation
WENTS (Women in ENT Surgery) are delighted to invite you to the third and final part of their webinar series on 'Women and Technology in Surgery'.
With the recent RCS England data showing we are 60 years off achieving 50:50 gender ratios in surgical consultants, we believe peer-reviewed data and collaboration is more important than ever for women in surgery.
This webinar will focus on women in surgery and technology their path to surgical innovation, and will take place at 7:30pm (UK time) on Tuesday 24th March 2026.
We welcome all genders to this event and it is free to attend, although advance registration is required.

Join two trail-blazing women surgeons who will be discussing their path to technological innovation in surgery and ask them your burning questions... How did they become pioneers? How did they overcome stereotypes and biases? How can we ensure women surgeons are helping shape surgical innovations?

Meet the speakers...
Katrina Mason
Katrina Mason is a Paediatric ENT Consultant at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the Associate Medical Director at Ufonia, a digital health company specialising in autonomous clinical conversations using Artificial Intelligence. She has an MSc with distinction from the University of Oxford and is an NHS Clinical entrepreneur.
Katrina has led on grant funded work to automate head and neck cancer triage using an AI conversational agent and is developing further conversations across otolaryngology. At Ufonia she supports CQC delivered care, research and evidence generation, regulatory approvals, alongside new conversation development through collaboration with patients, clinicians and academic colleagues.
