The Event

The British Society of Otology is delighted to announce the 2026 Annual Meeting, held on 2nd March 2026 at The Grand Brighton, 97-99 King's Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 2FW.

The theme for the Annual Meeting is 'On the Edge’.

With a number of international and inter-disciplinary speakers, this event will showcase new and exciting developments in Otology, including roles of technology for training, surgery, and patient care, debates on clinical controversies, as well as exploring new realms in global ear and hearing care, and management of otitis media in the veterinary world.  


Registration

Delegate registrations for BSO Annual Meeting 2026 are now open. Take advantage of the Early Bird prices until 25th Jan 2026. Late prices are from 26th Jan 2026 until the registrations close on 22nd Feb 2026 (23:59 hrs).

The delegate tickets include the tea/coffee/refreshments/ lunch on the 2nd March 2026.

Please bear in mind that we do not accept on-site registrations for this meeting.

Distance from Central London: 74 miles.
 

Parking

The Grand Brighton offers both on-site, secured valet parking at £40 per night and off-site options at lower costs, although availability for the on-site service is first-come, first-served. Valet parking is a paid service, and guests should confirm current rates when booking. 
On-site Parking (Valet) 
Availability: Provided on a first-come, first-served basis for residents.
Cost: Charged at approximately £40 per night for guests.
Type: Secured, covered valet parking is available.
Off-site Parking Options
Cost: Rates vary, but some sources mention around £30-£35 per night for off-site options. 
Availability: Cheaper off-site parking is available, but it is not at the hotel itself. 
 

By Bus

The bus is another transport alternative to get from London to Brighton. On average, a direct service from London to Brighton takes 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Fly to a London Airport:

London Gatwick (LGW): A popular choice as it has a direct train service to Brighton.
London Heathrow (LHR): Requires a journey into London (e.g., to Victoria) to catch a train to Brighton.
London Stansted (STN) or Luton (LTN): You can take a train or bus to London before connecting to a train service to Brighton.

Getting to Brighton & Hove is easy. It's just under an hour by rail from London and only half an hour from London Gatwick Airport.
It is just under an hour by rail from London
It is about 45 minutes by road from the M25 London orbital motorway
It is half-an-hour from London Gatwick Airport
It is on a direct rail link from the Eurostar Service at St Pancras
It is accessible by regular coach connections from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports
It is within easy access of Northern France from the nearby port of Newhaven
It is only 1.5 – 2 hours by motorway from the major ports of Dover, Portsmouth and Southampton.
