NTSP publishes important safety notification on tracheostomy tubes

The National Tracheostomy Safety Project (NTSP) has published an important safety notification regarding Bivona paediatric tracheostomy tube safety, following a series of reported incidents of tubes breaking at key points. Supply problems have meant that in some cases, tubes are being used beyond their intended lifespan, increasing the risk. The NTSP has worked with key stakeholders and the national team to issue this safety notification and advice.
