Bullying, Harassment and Undermining (BHU)

ENTUK is dedicated to supporting surgeons throughout their career.  In developing our new Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy ENT UK has also been considering the issue of Bullying, Harassment and Undermining (BHU). Our role and influence in such matters is quite limited, but as a professional body we are able to signpost trainees and non-trainees, including the consultant body, to the resources that are available to assist our members.

Appraisal guidelines

ENT UK has updated its guidance on appraisal and revalidation, in accordance with the GMC’s guidance update of 2018. We have provided an information for appraisees document, which includes frequently asked questions, advice on mapping information against the four domains and a template that can be used to guide your reflections. The information for appraisees is designed to make the appraisal (and thus the revalidation process) as straightforward as possible to all our members. There is also a document presenting information for appraisers, and another constituting an introduction to the updated documents.
