Our role and influence in such matters is quite limited, but as a professional body we are able to signpost trainees and non-trainees, including the consultant body, to the resources that are available to assist our members.

While Covid infections have not disappeared, the incidence and severity have both declined. The UK Government released precautions about mask wearing on 6 June 2022. However, the need to wear a mask varies between different Trusts, and in many this is no longer mandatory.
